How PPOB works in Acosys

PPOB (Payment Point Online Bank) lets stores sell digital products and help customers pay bills. In Acosys, transactions are created as lines on a Point of Sale receipt and processed using the tenant's PPOB balance.

1

Activate the merchant

Open the PPOB Wallet menu or the PPOB button in POS, then complete the free merchant registration if prompted.

2

Top up the deposit balance

Top up your balance in the PPOB Wallet. The minimum top-up enforced by the system is Rp 500,000; the balance increases once the payment is verified.

3

Choose a product in POS

Choose Prepaid or Postpaid, enter the customer number/ID, then select the appropriate product.

4

Settle the receipt and monitor

Once the receipt is paid, Acosys forwards the transaction to the provider. The cashier can check the result and the serial number/token in the PPOB history.

Products are only delivered after the receipt is marked as paid. Saving an unpaid receipt does not send phone credit or pay the bill yet.

How is the price calculated?

Prepaid products

The price to the tenant is calculated from the supplier price and the Acosys markup. The store's selling price then follows the tenant's rules — for example global, category, or SKU rules — or a special price saved for that product.

Cashiers with the right permission can change the selling price. The system rejects prices lower than the price to the tenant.

Postpaid products

The cashier selects a product and enters the customer ID to run an inquiry. Acosys shows the customer name, period, bill details, the provider's admin fee, and the quoted price.

A quote is valid for at most 5 minutes and only on the same day. The bill is forwarded once the receipt is paid; postpaid prices come from the inquiry response, not from a fixed catalog price.

Double-check the operator, customer number/ID, customer name, and total before completing the receipt. For certain services, the form also asks for additional data such as the tax year or amount.

Transaction status and follow-up

Success

For prepaid, hand over the SN/token shown in POS. The result can be reopened from the prepaid PPOB history.

Pending

The provider has not confirmed the result yet. Check the history/status again before retrying, so the customer doesn't pay for the same product twice.

Failed

The tenant's PPOB balance is refunded automatically if the transaction is confirmed as failed. If the customer has already paid the receipt, the customer refund is handled through the store's return procedure.

If the status shows that an admin review is needed or it stays pending, check the transaction history and contact your Acosys administrator. Don't create a replacement transaction for the same number until the previous status is clear.

Availability notes

  • POS shows active products. The prepaid catalog is also filtered by stock, supplier status, and service hours; postpaid products are checked again at inquiry time.
  • If the phone number is recognized, the prepaid catalog helps filter for the matching operator. E-money products can still be selected.
  • For self-hosted installations that use the relay, the current implementation provides the prepaid flow; postpaid and retail price settings are not yet available on that path.
